🚕 Show the Driver
Choose where you're going, then tap Show to driver. Your screen turns into a big card in Korean, with a map.
Tip: hotel booking confirmations usually include the Korean address. Copy it here.
The map is only available for places picked from the list. Typed addresses are shown as text.
How to use it
- Pick a destination from the list, or paste the Korean name or address of your hotel or restaurant.
- Check the pin on the map, then tap Show to driver and hand your phone over.
- Tap the text on the card to close it.
Why place names work better than addresses
Drivers in Korea usually navigate by well-known landmarks, station names and building names. For famous places, the Korean name is often faster than a full street address, and the map helps confirm you mean the same place. For small hotels, guesthouses and restaurants, paste the exact Korean address from your booking instead.
Good to know
- Most taxis accept cards, but some foreign cards can be declined. Carry some cash as a backup.
- Ride-hailing apps can save you from explaining the destination at all; see our guide to apps for Korea.
Questions
Will every taxi driver understand the card?
Showing the Korean name of a well-known place is usually enough. For small hotels or restaurants, paste the exact Korean address from your booking. If a driver is unsure, the map helps confirm you mean the same place.
